Tips To Decorate A Rental Home-2015

Rentals homes are difficult to decorate as you do not have too much flexibility and freedom. There are only a few things you can do without having to get permission from your home owner. One doesn’t know how long you would live in that place and other such unpredictable things.

But while you live you one must try to create the space into a beautiful home. For all those who are living in residential rental apartments, here are a few things you can stress free:

  •  Go for repainting the apartment if the home owner lets you. Put a splash of colour of your liking and personalize the whole space in an instant and lively way.

  •  Bathroom fittings can be expensive and can be cheap too. Why go for expensive bath fittings when you can go a beautiful one with a reasonable price tag. Industrial style bathroom and plumbing work give your house a rustic feel and are dirt cheap too. Now this is what you call a double whammy!

  •  Most of us live in apartments that are really tiny. With rentals in metro cities reaching sky high prices, one can only make the most of existing space in hand. To give can illusion of space work up you upholstery.
  • Long hanging drapes give an illusion of height and mirrors and large windows do the same to your space. If you don’t have enough windows see if you can do minor renovation to create one large French window.

  •  Kitchen is one of the most boring spaces as you cannot change much there. The apartment that you rent out usually comes with woodwork and there is nothing much you can change there. Look for stick on wall papers and give a lively make over to those boring cabinets. It is that easy!

  •  Don’t shy away from adding statement artifacts in your space. They give a sense of individuality and yet create a unique style for yourself. Go raid those flea markets and find the artefacts of your choice.

  •  Eco friendly articles like pottery, coir and other such articles give an earthy and homely environment in any space. Try and experiment with these and see if its suits you interiors. You can use these in your indoor and outdoor space.

  •  Try the most to hide any flaws in an old apartment by adding a large piece of artifact or painting to cover the space. Graphic wallpapers also do the job very well.
